FAQs

Are these official replicas?
They are. Skelton Crew Studio LLC is proud to be the exclusive home of 1:1 prop replicas for "Locke & Key," published by IDW Publishing, "CHEW," published by Image, "Mouse Guard," published by Archaia Entertainment and "Hellboy" and "B.P.R.D.," both published by Dark Horse.

How do exclusives work?
Exclusives debut at whatever show they’re exclusive to, like the L&K Echo Key at 2010 BangPop! Any product left after the con will go on sale here the following Monday, first come, first served.

For Locke & Key, what does Legacy Edition mean?
Legacy Edition simply means that the key will not be a limited edition. It doesn't mean that it is the key's second appearance. Some keys will be Legacy Editions right out of the gate.

Can you get my (blank) signed by the writer or artist?
Sorry. With the exception of special events, like the Head Key and Black Axe pre-orders, that’s not possible. "Locke & Key"'s Joe Hill has an active con and signing schedule that he keeps updated here. Chilean artist Gabriel Rodriguez keeps a blog and makes the occasional trip to the states. The team behind "CHEW," writer John Layman and artist Rob Guillory, are frequent con guests and keep a blog here. Rob also has his own website. "Mouse Guard"'s David Petersen keeps his con appearances and blog updates here. Mike Mignola keeps his details here, along with prints and artwork from "Hellboy" and "B.P.R.D." If you get a chance, say hi in person — they're all amazingly nice guys.

Do I have to use Pay Pal or a credit card?
You don’t. If you’d rather pay by money order, add everything to your cart, get a shipping and tax tally (applicable to Maine residents) and send your order to: Skelton Crew Studio, P.O. Box 105, Litchfield, Maine 04350

Are you planning to make the (insert your favorite prop here)?
Maybe. We’re open to fan ideas, so don’t be shy, drop a note. If there’s enough demand, almost anything is possible for a run. Maybe even the Giant Key.

Do you ship internationally?
Absolutely. Small orders (keys, axes) ship U.S.P.S. Priority mail. Large orders (Chogs, Artifact Archive) ship U.S.P.S. First Class, which is much less expensive but does not come with a tracking number. If you'd like your large order to ship U.S.P.S. Priority or International Express, please contact us within an hour of placing your order and we'll invoice you for the additional charges. Unless you request and pay for insurance, we can't be held responsible for lost or damaged packages. If you are having delivery issues, please let us know. Orders may be subject to additional customs fees in your home country. Sorry, we're not able to alter an item's value or mark the package as a gift.

I've pre-ordered a (blank), where is it? Or, where's the rest of my order?
Pre-ordered product are marked with the approximate ship date in the website description. If you ordered several items and only one was a pre-order, the entire order won't ship until the pre-order is ready. If you'd like to receive the other items sooner, please make that a separate order. Thanks.

What cons will you be at?
