How do exclusives work?
Exclusives debut at whatever show they’re exclusive to, like the Echo Key at 2010 BangPop! Any keys left after the con will go on sale here the following Monday, first come, first served.
What does Legacy Edition mean?
Legacy Edition simply means that the key will not be a limited edition. It doesn't mean that it is the key's second appearance. Some keys will be Legacy Editions right out of the gate.
Can you get my tag signed by Joe Hill or Gabriel Rodriguez?
Sorry. With the exception of special events, like the Head Key and Anywhere Key pre-orders, that’s just not possible. Joe, however, has an active con and signing schedule that he keeps updated at www.joehillfiction.com. Gabe also keeps a blog and makes the occasional trip to the states. Do I have to use Pay Pal or a credit card?
You don’t. If you’d rather pay by money order, add everything to your cart, get a shipping and tax tally (applicable to Maine residents) and send your order to: Skelton Crew Studio, P.O. Box 105, Litchfield, Maine 04350
Are you planning to make the (insert your favorite here) key?
Maybe. We’re open to fan ideas, so don’t be shy, drop a note. If there’s enough demand, almost any key is possible for a run. Maybe even the Giant Key.
Do you ship internationally?
Absolutely. All orders ship U.S.P.S. Priority mail. However, Priority mail can't be tracked outside the U.S. Unless you opt for insurance, we can't be held responsible for lost or damaged packages. Sending your package by International Express Mail, with insurance, costs an additional $16 for up to six keys, and you'll have to let us know the same day you place the order if you'd like to pay for that extra assurance. If you are having delivery issues, please let us know.
I've pre-ordered a key, where is it? Or, where's the rest of my order?
Pre-ordered keys are marked with the approximate ship date in the website description. If you ordered several keys and only one was a pre-order, the entire order won't ship until the pre-order is ready. If you'd like to receive the other keys sooner, please make that a separate order. Thanks.
What cons will you be at?
For 2011, the Maine Comic Arts Festival in Portland, Maine on May 22 and BangPop! in Bangor, Maine on Sept. 24 & 25. Swing by Artist Alley and say hi. I’ll have exclusives at both shows. I also plan to attend the San Diego Comic Con this July - but good luck finding me in that crowd.
If you could use any of the keys yourself, which would you pick?
Probably the Time Key, which we’re all going to hear more about in future “Locke & Keys.” Just wait.
